<font color="#000000"><font><font face="georgia,serif">I have successfully exported map layers from SVG to AI by exporting either individual layers or a few layers at a time. I then open the layers up in AI, ungroup them, deleted the boxes and clipping masks, and then line them up manually using a layer I export each time as a reference. It's time consuming but will work. I also found that either odd things happen, QGIS crashes, or memory in AI gets bogged down when trying to export/open a large SVG file.</font></font></font><div>

It's basically a plug-in for AI. You could prep your data in QGIS and add your final touches in AI by bringing the data in with Mapublisher.</font></font></font></div>

I just tested the raster clipper tool in the newly released qgis 1.7.4<br>
and it works now without giving the python script error. However, it still<br>
produces the shifted image. I hope the gdal developers fix that soon.<br>
<br>
This problem seems to exist only in gdal 1.8 and above. Is there any link<br>
from where I can download gdal 1.7 and plug it in qgis 1.7.4?<br>

Hi<br>
I have tried to use the python plugin to export my map as a svg. When it<br>
worked it was selective about which layers it exported and at the moment it<br>
crashes. I was wondering if there is another way of exporting an image or<br>
vector graphic of my map. I want to add final touches to my paper copy map<br>
in Illustrator and am at the moment considering doing a number of print<br>
screens and stitching it together.<br>
