I just install Cinnamon GUI on Ubuntu (see <a href="http://cinnamon.linuxmint.com/?page_id=61">http://cinnamon.linuxmint.com/?page_id=61</a>) and QGIS runs well.<div><br></div><div>PS. It's GNU/Linux. No need to rush to another distro or stick to an old version of it. Get your favorite GUI instead :-)</div>
