My QGIS does not display tooltips (any more). The only thing that
shows up is a white (or light yellow?) bar at the place where the
tooltip should be. Other QT applications seem to work fine on my
system, including QGIS Browser.<br>

This problem has been there for at least several weeks, but since I
know most buttons/icons it didn't really bother me yet. Hope anyone
