Go to Analysis - Sextante Options and configuration. Then check
if the paths are correct or exist..try to activate the
extensions (if they are not activate). I use QGIS 1.8 in Ubuntu
12.04 and works fine. <br>

That's the problem: where can I define the paths? In Sextante -
Options and configuration there isn't a way to do that.<br>
