    Thanks Arlindo! The links did'nt help in my case. However I found
    another solution which I would like to share here: <u>VariCad</u> <u>Viewer</u>.
    You can find it in the Ubuntu Softwarecenter. According to the
    information Sofwarecenter provides it's free of charge (though not
    freeware, as is Draftsight) and it's designed for 64bit Ubuntu. It
    seems to open and convert dwg to dxf just right.<br>

            Hi,<br>
            <br>
            Before a while I was able to open .dwg-files in Draftsight.
            This program however still isn't available for 64bit ubuntu.
            The workarounds I used before (for example: <a
              moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://linuxaideddesign.blogspot.nl/2012/03/draftsight-and-ubuntu-1204-lts-64bit.html"
              target="_blank">http://linuxaideddesign.blogspot.nl/2012/03/draftsight-and-ubuntu-1204-lts-64bit.html</a>)
            all seem to clash on installing. Does anyone have a solution
            other than DraftSight? Or am I missing a recent workaround?
            You'd be helping me out seriously!<br>
