the rubber band in the 2.0 version is poor in comparison with the
1.8 release. Perhaps it could be made a bit wider. Also the rubber
band in 2.0 is no longer persistent and disappears whenever
another command, say insert point, is selected.<br>

In my last training I shifted to QGIS2.0.1, without homework
and while using 'Measure tool' it showed "Measure (OTF off)".
Later It was resolved by making 'OTF on' but for simplicity, I
suggest to make 'Ellipsoidal' check box available in QGIS2.0
also, on 'Measure tool' window, as in previous version, so
that area/length etc. may be shown without going into Project
properties>CRS & projections' details.<br>
