I do all of my schema changes for SpatiaLite tables in the spatialite-gui, which is a free download <a href="http://www.gaia-gis.it/gaia-sins/">here</a>.</font><p><font face="Tahoma" size="2"></font> <p><font face="Tahoma" size="2">In the spatialite-gui, simply expand the table and right-click on the column you want to delete.
