I believe that this was also agreed in the previous discussion. "delete" and "backspace" keys are now for feature delete only and Ctrl+D (can be changed in shortcut options) is for removing layer.</div>

And I would create a brand new feature request for that, instead of opening and closing the bug report until we all agree.</div>

I'm fine with the solution of Jef: make it an option (now that it is done).<br>

for.<br>

Please let us create some (ui/hud) vision and hold on to that, so we are<br>
not driving on user comments only.<br>
