I am running GRASS 7.1 and rebuilt the vectors for the new

It does list the vector name. Rasters work fine still.

QGIS comes built with GRASS 6.4 in most of the distributed packages.
In order to use GRASS 7 vectors in QGIS you will have to revert them
back to the GRASS 6.4 format. This is done by running v.build.all in
a GRASS 6.4 session. (Note that the vectors will then not be
accessible in GRASS 7. To view them in G7 you will have to run
v.build.all again in G7. Yoyo...).
The only way to solve this mis-match once and for all is to have
QGIS compiled with it referring to GRASS 7. I guess that will come
once G7 is declared stable.
