needed to add a vectorial layer. Opening 'Layer Properties' dialog,
'Style' and trying to change the color of single symbol there is an

"Identify Features" is in the Attributes toolbar.<br>
It can also be activated from the menu (View-> Identify Features).<br>

QGIS 2.4:<br>
Select the raster layer and choose "Identify Features"<br>
(button with a white "i" in a blue filled circle on it).<br>
Then click on the pixel. The value(s) will be displayed<br>
in the Identify results window.<br>
