Hi Luca,<br>
<br>
Yes - you can do that by using the symbol levels. Have a look at the
"Advanced" button at the bottom-right of the symbology dialogue.<br>
<br>
Things get more complicated if there are bridges and tunnels with
other topics, such as railroads. Then you probably have to split up
the layers in several layers to correctly handle the rendering
order.<br>

<div>dear all, i think this is a simple
question but i cant find an answer googling
it...<br>
</div>
i am working on the symbolization of a road
network downloaded from OSM, using qgis 2.8.2.<br>
</div>
i have a single shapefile, each road segment has
attributes (name, type, bridge, tunnel etc...)<br>
</div>
i have symbolized it using "categorized" symbols
by "type" column (major roads are thicker and in
different color etc...)<br>
</div>
all roads have black outlines, and they all blend
together as i worked on the symbol levels to obtain
that<br>
</div>
the problem is that i would NOT like the roads to
blend as they do in crossroads, when they are not
crossroads: ie when there is a bridge or underpass and
the roads dont actually join.<br>
</div>
i think i can do it using the bridge value. in other
words i have to instruct qgis to do the following:<br>
</div>
- if "bridge" value is "1" road should be represented on
the top of the intersecting roads bearing value "0"<br>
</div>
- if crossing roads have the same bridge value, they should
join (it is a crossroad)<br>
</div>
is there a way to obtain it??? style rules can help? and how?<br>
<br>
</div>
thank you<br>
