      well known proprietary GIS application does not have this ability.
      In that software you can choose to export an image with a *.wld
      file ONLY in the map canvas, but not in the print layout composer.<br>

                    needs, as stated by<br>
                    giovanni manghi in that thread.<br>

                    as andrea said, this function has been paid by the
                    Tuscany Region, who felt<br>
                    it was worth investing money for developing this
                    features.<br>
                    but after its publication, at some time in history
                    of QGIS, this function<br>
                    has disappeared.<br>

                    I think it would take a little more attention
                    because these facts could<br>
                    disincentive investitors: one pays for a development
                    and after a while this<br>
                    development disappears ...<br>
