    <p>Well, I have both 2.18 LTS latest version, and various editions
      of masters, and they all have postgresql support built in. <br>

        On my mac laptop, I'd rather not install postgresql -- it's not
        that it's complicated to do so, I just don't expect to use it
        and would rather avoid the clutter.<br>

        So I'm just looking for a way to turn off postgresql in the
        build of QGIS2.99. I tried adding this to David Marteau's
        makefile:<br>

        But it's not turning off postgresql. testqgspostgresprovider.cpp
        insists on including it. Maybe I can turn off the test suite?<br>
