Older versions of QGIS had two plugins that offered the
functionality to prepare a data file for import to HEC-RAS for flood
analysis: There was StationLines to create a set of transects,
perpendicular to a river centerline at regular intervals, and the
excellent RiverGIS for collecting the layers and preparing the
HEC-RAS formatted data file.

RiverGIS has been upgraded to python3 for QGIS 3.x and is now
available again, but StationLines seems to be abandoned. Does anyone
know of an alternative ?
