<p>You can define environment variables and then call the executable
on the command. That is the best way to know what is going on.<br>
</p>
<p>Something like (this is for Linux, but Windows should be
similar):</p>
<pre><span class="nb">export</span> <span class="nv">QUERY_STRING</span><span class="o">=</span><span class="s2">"SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetCapabilities"</span>

/usr/lib/cgi-bin/qgis_mapserv.fcgi

<p>You can pass the MAP parameters or use the project defined in the
configuration. So, if you don't use a MAP parameter, it will use
the project defined in your *.conf file.</p>

everyone,<br class="">

I’ve been playing with QGIS for many years, but now
I’m on the mailing list as well. I’ve been banging my
head against QGIS for the past two days and just can’t
get it to work, so maybe I can find help here. It just
doesn’t give me WMS tiles or they are blank. Then I
fiddle around and it works, then I clean it up to make
it work and it stops again. It’s driving me crazy. :-)<br

Any hints on debugging qgis_mapserv.fcgi ?<br class="">
