<p>Hey Chris - So I've done two things in this area (I'm currently
on fedora on one machine and ubuntu on a second). <br>
</p>
<p>Flatpak will let you edit FGDBs and has updated gdal (i believe
officially sanctioned through QGIS) <br>
</p>
<p>Currently I'm working with this:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/conda-forge/qgis-feedstock">https://github.com/conda-forge/qgis-feedstock</a> and it's pretty
smooth (you just have to install conda) and can edit FGDB. <br>
