It seems that it's not the first time that there is confusion about<br>
how to handle domain renewals. The best solution for the future may<br>
be to share responsibility for domain renewals between SAC and the<br>
treasurer.<br>

At the moment I do not get the renewal notices, so if treasurer at<br>
osgeo could be added to the dnscontact at osgeo email alias then I<br>
would receive them, and could coordinate with SAC to proceed with<br>
paying for the renewal when we get a notice.<br>
<br>
Let's also keep in mind that future treasurers may not be as<br>
comfortable as I am with managing domains, that's why I think it is<br>
important that SAC remains involved in the renewals and we do not<br>
make that the sole responsibility of the treasurer.<br>
