Thanks! I don't think that similar art is a blocker ... but "Doctopus" is a
registered trademark for "Computer software that allows users to create,
organize, automate, share, send, comment on, evaluate and manage
spreadsheets, documents, videos, images, audio files, presentations,
folders, templates, computer code, communications, emails, lists,
questionnaires, and data; computer software for creating, managing and
sharing online documents in online storage for use in the field of
education"

IANAL (but I do spend a lot of time thinking about trademark for a
civilian) I think that our domain would be sufficiently different that
there would be limited scope for a claim of infringement. (This is how you
can have Apple Computers and Apple Music both having a trademark on
"Apple".) Also, the trademark holder is a nonprofit that creates
educational software -- nonprofits are less likely to be aggressive in
expanding their trademark scope.

For Templatypus, I don't necessarily think that it limits our scope; it
could be the mascot of the "templates" part of the project.

Could we do a vote?
Doctopus
Templatypus
Neither
Both
Something else?

Feel free to signal openness to an option with a "0" vote. :) e.g. +1
Doctopus, 0 Templatypus, -1 Both

Thanks!

Erin
