<p>I like the Doctopus idea. Noting also that a Doctopus can be
dressed up. It can hold books, quills, scrolls. It can wear
glasses, and wear a mortarboard graduation hat.</p>
<p>I'm mindful that logos need to work as a small image too - for
the icon that fits within your browser tab for a website. Eight
legs won't fit well in that version. A simple quill and/or scroll
will likely be better for that medium.<br>

text-related icon would be appropriate, we should seriously
consider the branding oomph of picking some charismatic
anthropomorphized animal or object as a mascot (think Github
octocat, Go gopher, etc.). A mascot allows for more branding

and a "collect the set" mentality.
