<p>Hi Swapnil, looks good and would be fine to send out as is.<br>
</p>
<p>A couple of minor suggestions which you can take or leave as you
see fit. </p>
<p>* You are working within a volunteer community where people are
gifting their time (or sometimes gifting their employer's time).
How the person spends their time is up to the person - sometimes
taking advice from others, but at the end of the day, they drive
their own agenda. I suggest you think of how you spend your time
on this project in the same way. You make the final decision about
how you spend your time to maximise the benefit of the project and
the broader community. Heed advice from people within the
community about what will likely work, but at the end of the day,
you know your own capabilities better than others, and will be
able to judge how you can be most impactful (and enjoy yourself in
the process).</p>
<p>* With that in mind, the tone of your communication will likely
change slightly, so it doesn't sound like you are writing a
progress report to your boss.</p>
<p>Instead of:</p>
<p>- "In line with directions provided by Cameron and Byron, I will
do ..."</p>
<p>Your tone may change to:</p>
<p>- "After talking with Cameron and Byron, it sounds like we need
to do XXX. So I'm planning to work on ..."</p>
<p>(I've exaggerated a bit for effect). The revised statement is
more conversational, and provides an opening for others in the
community to add suggestions. (Note, Cameron and Byron are not
your boss, they are part of a community, and you are doing your
best to capture the best ideas from this community.)<br>
</p>
<p>* A major risk factor for Open Source projects is having someone
come in, do something great, then leave and have no one left to
maintain the great contribution. Long term sustainability is
super-important and something that should be considered with all
your decisions. A key reason why you are creating templates is so
you can empower others to write great docs, and continue to do so
after you have left. This should be mentioned and worked toward.<br>
</p>
<p>* For your doc tasks, I suggest adding "why" you plan to do them.
It should help get some buy in from the community (which is
important).</p>
<p>So, with all that in mind, I've inserted a few suggested tweaks
below.<br>
