[SoC] Hello from Austin Chamberlin

Hi all,
My name is Austin Chamberlin. I'm a student at the University of  
Virginia, and I'll be applying to work on one of the gsoc projects.  
Most interesting to me is the OpenLayers project, specifically the  
GIS data editor and remote data management library improvements. I'm  
very excited about open source development and geospatial data and  
applications. I have experience with Java and to a lesser extent  
Python, Ruby, and HTML. Though I'm likely on the weaker side of  
applicants in terms of outside the classroom coding experience, I am  
confident in my ability to get up to speed with the technologies  
required to be successful on this project. I thought I'd begin by  
browsing the code and beginning to learn JS, any advice you give on  
specific things to study will be taken to heart.
