[SoC] QGIS on steroids - week #11

Hi

(sorry for the late delivery of the report)

I have spent this week implementing the previously suggested
optimizations. I have further improved the startup speed of attribute
table and improved the speed of generation of raster layer statistics
(2x).

On the GDAL/OGR front, RFC 29: Set Ignored Fields has been accepted.

I will spend the last week with testing, polishing and bugfixing. I
will prepare the patch implementing the mentioned RFC.

I am not blocked on anything.
