hello

here is my status report for week 1

what i did get done
- delved into the requirements for mapserver-inspire compliance (focused
on multi-language support)
- set local dev environment up, started getting familiar with related
code/tests and already provided patches
- added wiki page (http://trac.osgeo.org/mapserver/wiki/gsoc2011) and
outlined options for multi-language support there

what i plan on doing next
- go through the two other main issues for mapserver-inspire compliance,
view service metadata (getcapabilities) and layers metadata (named layer
groups)
- outline/consolidate related options on wiki
- start thinking about validation
