Hi Andrea,

yes, I've kept in account the requests I've received
during the application phase and I'm trying to keep the implementation
as much
independent as possible from any particular application or
environment.

I'm building a generic java library (my hope is to use it in a
"gvSig class" as a *.jar, keeping it apart ) for operate with any java
application.

I'm trying to follow the FDO specifications [1] but
there's some work to do yet, like implementing the writing
funcitonalities and the tests.
Anyway my aim is to provide a gvSig support for "spatial sqlite"
databases and a library for implementing those functionalities
(hopefully useful for everybody).

Ciao,
Luca

[1] http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/wiki/FDORfc16

2010/6/21 andrea antonello <andrea.antonello@gmail.com>
at the evaluation of the gsoc applications I expressed my interest in
the sqlite drivers also for udig and asked to keep, were possible,
your work as long as possible independent from gvsig.
Are you having luck in this? Would other java GIS be able to exploit
your work up to some point?

Ciao
