[OSGeo-Standards] distributed image processing support?

Does it support any of the WCPS notions yet, or just vanilla WPS? If
the former, how mature is it? Has anyone any experience using this in
practice?

I'd probably love to use WCPS, and from what I know it supports what I
want (albeit somehwat baroquely)... but I'm increasingly concerned about
trying to hitch my wagon to OGC standards that are still nascent or
formative, as the process for bringing them into maturity does not fit
my market needs.
