for it. We'll use this aspect of Docker to get started with Postgres 12 and PostGIS 3. Once the system is set up, we will explore some of the ways that Postgres and PostGIS can speed up GIS processing.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span style="font-family:"-webkit-standard",serif;color:black">Bio: Bill Mitchell has a background in chemistry (and geochemistry), where he picked up experience with programming and data analysis. After sustained
exposure to people working on remote sensing and other geospatial topics, he learned enough GIS to process Landsat imagery of Heard Island (and McDonald Islands). His PostGIS involvement began with a project analyzing radio propagation conditions based on
amateur radio data, and he now works as a GIS Specialist/Developer with the Minnesota Geospatial Information Office.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
