I've also tried to force caching by using expireTile() function via HTTP DELETE requests.

It seems not to work properly (or i just don't understand how it's supposed to work).

Let's say i wanna delete all the tiles (at all the zoom levels) contained in the bbox (-180,0,0,90). I do a correct request specifing that bbox. Debugging i can see that expireTile() is called tons of times, but the tiles of that bbox are left untouched!

What am i doing wrong?

On Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 10:21 AM, Enrico Sartorello <enrico.sartorello@gmail.com> wrote:
Anyway, i understand what's the point but i can't use that way cause is not an automated one.

Enrico,
You are correct, the WMS does not force the cache to be updated. I
found it strange that the WMS query seems to create the tile with the
bounding box I want without an extra tile with a wrong bounding box.
My thought was that the tilecache_seed and the WMS query thought
tilecache.cgi would behave similarly when creating the tile.
