Just a heads-up about a project that I heard about this weekend, <a href="http://github.com/skwash/TileCache-Cassandra">http://github.com/skwash/TileCache-Cassandra</a>.  Not sure what level of functionality exists yet, but the goal is to be able to use Cassandra as a backing store for tiles.<br>
