Hello Naveen,

Andreas pointed you to a good starting point. There is also the Debian 
Maintainer Guide http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/
And on the UbuntuGIS Wiki http://trac.osgeo.org/ubuntugis/ you'll find 
some small tutorial to help you start packaging.
