Hi Jo,

I am not part of the Advisory Board. The advisory board will be comprised of 10 members comprising of OSGeo Board nominations (2), OSGeo UK member (1), OSGeo:Edu member (1) and the rest six members will be comprised of eminent academics, UK Government organisations and industry leaders who will be nominated by CGS. This will bring together a broad mix of expertise to give us strategic inputs for our future direction.

Most of the activities of the Board will be done by online communications and the vision is to have atleast one face to face meeting of the Advisory Board per year (to coincide with OSGIS conference), to evaluate and provide guidance for future activities.

Best wishes,

Suchith

Hi Suchith,

Could you give us a bit more information on what the advisory board is likely to do? How many times a year will it sit, etc. Are you already sitting on it, in your capacity at CGS?

Thanks

Jo
