Apologies couldn't make it today.

We are almost there with our case studies and will forward these to Anthony as soon as they are signed off here.

We presented at a public sector event in Dublin last week where we put up the OSGEO logo and talked about OpenSource GIS in general. They were impressed with what was possible.

Summary

# Casestudy update

Antony has emailed proposal for case studies, please send case study examples to Antony.

Jo to explore casestudy from Astun.
Addy to provide a couple of users who are using the EDINA OpenStream built on OSGeo software where possible.
CSFT case study.
Also we will be exploring plans for publishing casestudies in Industry magazines


# Events update

Jo updated about AGI related events one in Lancaster probably be around open source or open data - it is likely to be at the university

GISRUK in April - lot of open source sessions. Good to see lot of research interest in open source GIS. Addy, Antony will be attending GISRUK and promoting OSGeo.

Open Source GIS Session in ICC 2011 organised by Barend Köbben (ITC) Event details at http://kartoweb.itc.nl/kobben/ICA-OSGEO-workshop/

Jo helping to organise this year's GeoComm

Action (All): To promote all open source GIS events widely as possible.



# Marketing update

Suggestion to print and promote best OSGeo:UK casestudies to be given out with promotional materials at events. All agree.

Action (All): Once casestudies are submitted, we will set process to select best case studies


# Research and academic  update


Internship students at the Open Source Geospatial Lab at CGS have their papers accepted ( ICC 2011, GISRUK 2011 etc ) highlighting the excellent research outputs produced. Suchith also working actively in promoting OSGeo at all levels.


# OSGIS 2011 update

Suchith working on the programme for OSGIS 2011. Plans for OSGeo:UK Meeting at the end of the conference like previous years with chapter report to be presented by Jo. All to work to get more new people involved with OSGeo.


# Next OSGeo:UK IRC meeting time

Because of Easter holidays on the last Monday of next month, the meeting will be held on 18th April (Monday)
