I think it needs an owner to follow it up etc
​ - this is where the OSGeo:UK Chapter could ​potentially benefit from a
little structure with a few key people helping in certain areas (i.e. from
other Groups such as QGIS etc), especially with Fund Raising, Events etc.

​FYI - there are a lot of companies out there selling services based on
Open Source that IMHO don't put anything back in. I'm happy to discuss with
someone who would lead, and even call some of them, to get some sponsorship
from them.​  It shouldn't be too hard...

There
​could also be some benefit with more of a relationship with the AGI who
have a great reach to the ​GI industry - I'm on the AGI Council I'd be
happy to liaise.
