<p>The Call for Talks is now open for FOSS4G:UK Local 2022: <a

</p>
<p>We have 3 great keynotes signed up (Regina Obe, Tim Sutton and
Anita Graser) which we will stream nationally, and we have 10
venues across the UK which we plan to fill with sessions. <br>
</p>
<p>If you would like to tell us what you have been up to with
FOSS4G, please submit your talk. The call for talks will be open
until Fri 14th October 2022. <br>
</p>
<p>Talks will be at one of ten different venues (Bovey Tracy
[Dartmoor National Park], Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Keyworth
[British Geological Survey], Leeds, London, Manchester,
Southampton [Ordnance Survey] or Worcester). Please specify which
venue you would like to present at. We will aim to stream
presentations from some venues to the other venues, those unable
to get to a venue and to record them for the OSGeo:UK YouTube
channel. <br>

<p>There are a range of talk options available (lightning talks 5-10
min, presentations 30 min, workshops 1hr or 2 hr, or show and
tell, which are short and variable). Or if you would like to do
something else, please submit your talk, and/or reach out to one
of the local venue chairs to discuss. <br>

This would give us all an opportunity to hear about the latest developments in open source Geo and meet up for some Geo socialising. We are proposing a new approach and are aiming to meet both in person and 'in the cloud' on PostGIS day: Thu 17th Nov 2022. This will be a hybrid conference, but with a twist: there will be no central physical location. The idea is to have a range of venues, geographically dispersed, where you can physically meet up, with some sessions streamed to all venues, and other sessions run locally. </span></p>

There is no minimum size location, so you can meet up with a couple of friends locally, or get together with a much larger number in a big town or city. You will also be able to join remotely, from wherever you are, if you can't get to a venue. </span></p>

We plan to have some keynote presentations which will be streamed to all venues, along with other workshops and events. These can be streamed to venues for people who want to participate if equipment is available, or just run locally if not. We plan to have a range of presentations, demonstrations and workshops at a variety of levels. We will also have physical and virtual social events.
