Hi Barry / everyone,

Thanks - I like the idea of the +/- 10 talks. We can look back a
bit, but we want to make sure we are looking forward as well, and
don't want to be too retrospective. I think this could manage to
do both, great suggestion. Thanks also for the link.

Whether we can do a panel discussion and stream it successfully -
I'm not sure - but that is a question for another day!

Everyone - we are slowly collating sites and looking at options.
Thanks to those of you who have reached out. If you haven't yet,
please do!

Best wishes,
Nick.
2013 was that I'd like to curate a series of "+/-10" talks

back at what "geo" was like ten years ago, and where the
speaker thinks it might be in ten years time. I think each of
us on the committee would have a different perspective and it
might be an idea to have a panel discussion with a moderator
to talk about cross-cutting trends across our perspectives.

Dear all,

After meeting yesterday, we are looking to move forward with
running
FOSS4G:UK 2023, running with a similar hybrid / local setup to
2022,
with a few changes. With September 2023 marking 10 years since
FOSS4G
2013 in Nottingham, we are planning on running the event in
September.
No date decided yet, but now is the time to make suggestions
of dates to
favour or avoid!

We will have a smaller number of venues, with a focus on
around 6-7.
Specifically we would like to host events in:
- Cardiff
- Bristol
- Glasgow or Edinburgh
- Leeds or Newcastle
- London
- Manchester or Liverpool
- Birmingham
- Belfast

We are trying to get a balance of venues, with locations
accessible to
as many people as possible within a day trip.

If you can host one, please step up!

Thank you if you have already emailed me and volunteered.

We will meet again in a few weeks to confirm and develop our
plans.

Best wishes,
Nick.
