Just to clarify - it's not actually the Committees page
that I'm interested in per se, but, it might be useful
to have more visibility for it anyway?

What I use the Committees page for is to get to the
page for a specific Committee, usually in order to
find 'the details' for the committee. In other words,
you start by knowing that there are Committees, and
maybe even knowing which committee you are "interested
in"(for whatever reasons), and then the Committees
page gives you the link to the starting point for
info about that committee. Note that not all such
starting points are "a wiki page"
(e.g. http://www.osgeo.org/conference )
Maybe I'm not on the committee, or even subscribed
to the committee's mailing list(s), but I want to
find something 'related to the committee':
- their wiki page
- their mailing list(s)
- what they do
- links to info such as past or upcoming meetings
- links to archived materials
- etc
