With open source projects volunteer effort goes into the project; and you have to be careful that any activities like this are productive (in real hard coding terms) and not a distraction or off topic. I actually just took this idea off the back burner; and have emailed the various project teams to see if there is any interest in doing a "wps bakeoff" for foss4g. The idea this early in the game is to focus on benching the servers and showing what they can do.<br>
