<div><br></div><div>I don't think it's worth to spend many ours for bureaucratic procedure to setup an association if sponsors prefer let's say Paypal (just an example), or sponsors need the association to sponsor the project and won't be able to use Paypal. Then it's better to have an association. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I must admit, that I didn't think about this sponsorship very much yet, but what about offering sponsorship for certain implementations, so the sponsor can then directly pay to the developer or company to implement a certain feature?</div>

I wanted to open a bank account even using my own name, but she told me that it won't work. So I decided to open a PayPal account using the <a href="mailto:payments@zoo-project.org" target="_blank">payments@zoo-project.org</a> mail address and using my own name and my own credit card.</div>
<div><br></div><div>So to give a brief overview about solution which are in front of us to get money stored somewhere we can use one of the following solutions :</div><div> 1) using the PayPal account (the good point is that it is already available and working)</div>
<div> 2) creating an association law 1901 then waiting for creating an account (I really wonder how we can do that)</div><div> 3) creating a personal bank account (using my name or whoever wants to be linked to the bank account) to store money in</div>
<div><br></div><div>I think that solution 1 and 3 can be done but then if we use solution 3 rather than 1 then we won't have a direct payment api which we can use on our site (there is probably other solutions somewhere but I don't know them, so if you get the info, let me know).</div>
<div><br></div><div>Finally I really think that using the paypal system can simplify things a lot, then if some sponsors have trouble using the PayPal system we can always find another way to make bank transfert (the new sponsor company will pay somebody which will then pay back using the paypal mechanisms).</div>

One year has passed since the ZOO-Project was officially started.<br>
At the time of initiation, sponsorship was offered to companies<br>
as gratis for a period of one year starting from October 1st<br>
2009 till September 30 2010. The period is now over and we<br>
now need to decide the sponsorship scheme. Some companies have kindly<br>
agreed to continue as paid sponsors for the period between Oct 1 2010<br>
till 30 September 2011.<br>

I suggest three sponsorship levels as below<br>
<br>
a) Bronze sponsor: 500Euro<br>
b) Silver sponsor: 1000Euro<br>
c) Gold sponsor: 2000Euro<br>
<br>
We have to decide the how the sponsorship funds will be used,<br>
but I think it is basically for maintaining ZOO-Project website,<br>
ZOO-Project promotions and funding some of ZOO development.<br>
<br>
I would like to have your opinion about the sponsorship<br>
program as soon as possible and it will be nice to decide<br>
before or during the next PSC meeting so that we can inform<br>
potential sponsors and past sponsors at an early date.<br>
