introduction

[Bart van den Eijnden (OSGIS)]

Hi list,

just found this list today, by a cross-post from Jody to the openSDI list.

Since the archives contain some introductions, let me briefly introduce 
myself.

I am Bart van den Eijnden, currently based in The Netherlands, and a 
freelancer specializing in OpenGIS standards and open source GIS 
software. I have around 6 years experience with both. Mostly Mapserver, 
Chameleon and a bit of Geoserver and Deegree.

During my physical geography studies, I did an erosion hazard research 
for half a year in Zimbabwe, and since then I have always had a special 
bond with Africa. Also, because my girlfriend is from Zimbabwe, and we 
do plan to move to Africa (probably Zimbabwe region) within a few years 
time.

What kind of subjects does this list plan to discuss? Are there specific 
ideas already?
