We are busy finalising a site that does precisely what you want. Check
out http://196.11.235.45 as an example. What the application does, is
converts uploaded presentations, whether Free or proprietary format and
displays them on the web. You can then also download them as pdf, ppt or
odp as needed in future.

You are able to tag your files, as well as provide metadata and content
licenses as well.

I have just uploaded one of my FOSS GIS presentations now, go and have a
look!
