[OSGeo Africa] Examples of localised GIS?

Hi All

I am giving a presentation at the Sci-Enza Career Exhibition at the end of
May.  I would like to talk a bit about what open source GIS can offer,
without getting technical as time is short and I need to cover general GIS
concepts too.  

Does anyone know of examples of localized open source GIS i.e. in one of our
official languages other than English?
