[OSGeo Africa] raster styling in geoserver

Hie,

Is there anyone who have any idea of creating styles for rasters in geoserver specifically Aster DEM http://asterweb.jpl.nasa.gov/gdem.asp. If I use the QGIS to get the style, it gives me a style without number ranges and colours.
