Hi OSGeo Africa,

I am compiling a list of South African Public* GeoData Providers.
*: Open / Liberal / Free Access GIS Data Providers or Authorities.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, additions or "brain dumps".
On list or off list. Feel free to forward email to anyone who could help.

My very basic list so far:

* Chief Surveyor General - Cadastral
* City of Cape Town - Open Data Portal (Aerial, Address, Clinics etc)
* Department of Basic Education - Schools List
* eThekwini Municipality - GIS Data Portal (Address, Amenities etc)
* Muncipal Demarcation Board - Boundaries
* National Earth Data - Basemap
* National Geo-spatial Information (NGI) - (Aerial, Topographic, DEM, etc)
* OpenStreetMap - (Crowd sourced general geodata)
* Stats SA - Census? Other?
