[OSGeo Africa] Topographic Map Series of Namibia?

The paper based maps are not that expensive ( at least
here in SA )
Granted there are quite a number of them.
Still for a not very large sum YOU would have a compete
set ( believing that the SG in Windhuk <sic> can supply a
full set ) to store away for any future use. Perhaps the
South African SG / NGI should as a matter of principle
keep in their archive / document section full sets of ALL
maps of the SADC countries ( including perhaps
Mozamabique and Angola ) ? I imagine that the state of
the SG departments of these countries would make this
something of a difficult task ?
Speaking from observed experience the Geography
departments of our larger better known Universities ( and
their libraries ) do have quite extensive map collections
( although these may not be completely up to data )
