[OSGeo Africa] best source for open source terrain model of South Africa

We have a single GeoTIFF of SRTM accessible here:
https://deafrica-input-datasets.s3.af-south-1.amazonaws.com/srtm_dem/srtm_africa.tif

It’s a Cloud Optimised GeoTIFF that works in WGIS or can be used with GDAL
to flip out small areas without downloading.

I don’t know about higher resolution.
