Hi there

Does anyone know what URL can be used to load the latest WMS imagery for 
the Western Cape (South Africa) from CDNGI?

The links that I was previously using in QGIS are no longer working.

Hi Dean,

I think there is an issue with their server - the layers are not working 
in their own portal <https://ngigeoportal.dlrrd.gov.za/cdngiportal/>.

This URL is used in their portal and it does get a list of services in 
QGIS (but they don't currently load) - 
https://bp-cdngiapollo.dlrrd.gov.za/erdas-iws/ogc/wms/CDNGI_PORTAL_BACKDROP

I self host my own public instance of the NGI aerial imagery here:
https://aerial.openstreetmap.org.za/

It can be used in QGIS and other apps using TMS (XYZ tiles):
https://aerial.openstreetmap.org.za/layer/ngi-aerial/{z}/{x}/{y}.jpg

Attached is a QGIS screenshot showing recommended settings.

My site was last updated in 2025 (near complete 25cm coverage), I need
to work out the logistics to get another update from NGI.
