      I'm not sure where in SA you can get 'official PostgreSQL
      certification' (perhaps Obsidian?), but this one-week course will
      get you a university certificate for PostGIS/PostgreSQL (we do
      lots of SQL):

                              40-763 (Implementing a Data Warehouse with
                              Microsoft SQL Server 2012). <br>

                            <p>Can the professionals within the industry
                              please advise me as to whether these
                              courses will aid my GIS career and
                              potential or are there specific courses
                              which can be recommended to me?<br>
                            </p>
                            <p>Any advice in the right direction will be
