Upon completion of the course the participants:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI","sans-serif"'>-Have insight in recent earth observation developments crucial and tailored to climatic and disaster risk management;<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI","sans-serif"'>-Are capacitated and have refreshed their skills to manage earth observation systems, extract and process imagery data using free and open source Geo(IT) tools to derive climate and disaster products valuable for their organizations and nations;<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI","sans-serif"'>-Built a network of users and champions of earth observation systems for climate and disaster risks.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI","sans-serif"'>This course targets alumni from Dutch institutions especially from University of Twente, Faculty ITC in the fields of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation. The refresher course is related to the following programmes: Climate Studies, Disaster and Risk Management, Earth Observation Science (EOS), Earth Systems Analysis (ESA), Geo-Information Processing (GIP), Natural Resources Management (NRM) and Water Resources Management (WREM). Non alumnus applicants working in organizations which do have alumni from Dutch institutions especially ITC will also be considered.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI","sans-serif"'>Applicants should preferably be NFP alumni, having completed a relevant NFP-funded training or education course at least two years prior to the planned starting date of the refresher course and should not have attended a refresher course in the last 2 years.
