Saludos.

Hi Gonzalo,
Good to see you're making progress.
Regarding your questions:
- Is there an organisation which has a bank-account in Argentina? In that
case we can make an arrangement that they can be our liason for local
payments.
- We can then also have "local" sponsors (from Latin America) transfer
their sponsorship money to Argentina (instead of via our UK-account). Which
then can be used for payments. When needed we can then transfer additional
funds from our account.
- After the conference we can make a final calculation and have the
left-over budget transfered to us.
- We are pragmatic about these things. However, our treasurer wants to pay
as late as possible :-)
The estimate of how many people may attend is going to be a very hard
guess. Most people will (hopefully) come from Latin America. Argentina is
for a lot of regular SotM-attendees far away. Announcing the event early,
may trigger people to plan there holiday in Argentina.
Just to give you a number: this year we had 300 people, but then there is a
well organized community in Europe. Just making a wild guess: I think about
50 people from outside Latin America will come over. Again a wild guess.
Hope this answers your questions.
Cheers,
Henk
