Dear ANZ-OZGeo people,
The EPA (Qld) is holding its annual GIS Workshop for 2008 from the
9-11th of Sep and I am coordinating an Open Source section on the 9th
from 2 - 3:30.
I've had good interest expressed in the topic and wondered if there was
anyone either in Brisbane at the time or based in or around Brissy who
would like to come along and share some ideas with our State-wide
participants.
I've been talking about GDAL/FWTOOLS, uDIG, QGIS, JGRASS,
POSTGRESQL/POSTGIS, GEOSERVER, GPS TOOLS (MAPEDIT, cGPSMAPPER, SENDMAP,
etc) in previous exchanges with colleges.
The format would be an open presentation/seminar style where we would
have interaction, demonstrations, Q&A, etc. We normally get between 50 -
75 people attending the conference and the majority would come to the
Open Source section.
Any takers ?
Cheers,
Shaun Kolomeitz,
