Spatial Information Infrastructure seeks an enthusiastic Project Officer 
to be a member of the
Vicmap Position GPSnet Operations Team (www.land.vic.gov.au/GPSnet). 
GPSnet is a network
of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) Continuously Operating 
Reference Stations
(CORS) that delivers high accuracy real-time satellite positioning 
information through Vicmap
Position services. The GPSnet Operations Team is responsible for managing 
the existing network
of 48 GNSS stations. Within the next 18-20 months, the team will connect 
(on-board) and
commission over 60 new GNSS CORS sites including: 57 stations from The 
Positioning Regional
Victoria Project (PRV), 4 AuScope sites and additional partner sites from 
both Victoria and other
states. The successful applicant will be required to work in a range of 
tasks which include:
support the upgrade and operation of CORS network software; assist with 
the monitoring and
maintenance CORS sites, verify technical requirements for new end-user 
applications and assist
with technical enquires.
